This tour combines Automobile Alley history with contemporary shops and art experiences. Our partnerships with local businesses give you insider access to this cool neighborhood featuring 100-year-old buildings.

Here’s the plan:

  • start your engines at Coffee Slingers with a mini flight of cold brew, iced latte, chai tea (arrive early to order your own coffee)

  • learn about Broadway’s beginnings and how it became the center of the state’s auto industry while on a secret rooftop

  • hear fascinating stories about the discovery of oil in OKC

  • visit local retailer #1 to pick up a shopping tote and buttons to decorate it (yay!)

  • learn about bygone car companies and discover auto-themed designs hidden in the brickwork

  • visit retailer #2 for a postcard and chocolate made by Chickasaw Nation

  • see a former filling station from 1919 with giant flowers on the facade

  • record yourself dancing in the street at the fabulously colorful Mix-Tape by Factory Obscura and grab a few stickers

  • walk through an art park and the lobby of Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center

  • explore the free museum on your own or walk 6 minutes back to Coffee Slingers
